After Researching the Theory
I have never thought too much about Global Warming so when asked to research it, I looked for the evidence supporting it. My first blog was about how we need to change things to better our world but the more I research the theory the less I believe it. Al Gore presented a load of evidence supporting the fact that the earth was warming at alarming speeds thanks to elevated CO2 levels. His theory states that we are makinf the Polar Ice Caps melt and making Polar Bears lose their homes. There are even children's movies about this..."Happy Feet". Now after Al Gore released "An Inconvient Truth" it has sparked others to present their evidence that this is simply a hoax and nothing to buy into but the liberal media does not want this side of the story presented. Why? It is always been known that the media is biased. It supports one side and does not look at the other unless it is going to bash it. The Green Movement started in the past few years took people's minds off the real problems in the world and gave them something they feel that they can control, so they buy more expensive cleaning products and trade their SUV's for hybrid cars. Does anyone really know if it changing anything? No, but they will do what they hear on the news and not look into what they are purchasing because if it's on CNN it has to be true, Right?

Happy Feet?
Every single day the world gets a little warmer. While some of us are enjoying the beautiful 68 degree weather in the middle of January we forget about the ones that are losing their homes little by little. In our typical day to day we forget about the animals that live on these ice caps. Every day they become closer to instinction because there will be nowhere for them to go once the ice is gone. That is what they were born to do and they will never evolve quickly enough to live outside of this terrain. Most people have seen the WWF commercials with the Polar Bear floating on a small chunk of ice in the middle of the ocean and if you haven't and you have any kind of sympathy for animals it will make you think. If you haven't seen the commercial, then more than likely you have watched or heard of Happy Feet. It is an animated movie about a penguin who dances instead of singing his heart song but that is beside the point of the movie. While it entertains that story, it was truly made to show each and every person what was happening to the world we live in. Our fishing habits, our methods of garbage disposal, our entire world is based around what is the most practical thing for us and how can we accomplish something as quickly as possible without regard to who it is truly affecting. The penguins and the polar bears cannot change what is happening in their world. They do not understand where their food supply is going or why their home is disappearing in front of their eyes. It is up to us as a society, us as a country, us a world, to stop what is happening to the animals and to the only place we have to call home. We have to save our world and we have to start today. If not for ourselves then for the sake of our children and their children. Maybe you don't love animals but surely you love your family and friends. This is their world too and without everyone's help there is nothing we can do to stop the effects of Global Warming. It will not only be the isolated Polar Bear on the chunk of ice or the penguin starving with a plastic coke can holder around his neck, it is all of us.
